ASA SAYS GOODBYE TO LONGTIME SUPPORTER MAXINE BRUHNS
JULY 2020

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Maxine Bruhns in July 2020. She was director of the University of Pittsburgh’s world-famous Nationality Rooms for 55 years, and a longtime, enthusiastic supporter of ASA’s programs. We are grateful for her involvement in our organization, and for the contributions she made toward global understanding and cooperation.

In this 2017 video, Maxine invites her friends to say “Jambo” to the 10 Bright Kids Uganda children she supports.

Maxi’s Kids is a thank-you to a truly compassionate woman, from the ten children to whom she provided educational funds.
